2. Warranty conditions

. Q.ik ebike warranty policy is based on the Directive 1999/44 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, of May 25, 1999.

. In general terms Q.ik ebike offers a 2 year warranty which covers hidden defects and originally damaged or defective parts.

. The table above shows some exceptions that are under longer or shorter time warranty period.

. The warranty validity period gets started on the date of the invoice or the date of bike receipt in case of online sale shipment.

. To exercise the warranty rights, showing a valid proof of purchase will be mandatory.

. Originally damaged or defective parts will be replaced and shipped to the warranty holder. Warranties are non‐transferable to anyother person than the original purchaser.

. This warranty applies only bicycles that have been purchased through official Q.ik ebike website (www.qikbike.com) or authorized distributors and stores.

. The warranty will only cover product defects that have been detected the first three days after the delivery date. It is the owner’s responsibility to inspect the bicycle immediately upon receipt.

. Q.ik ebike will cover the costs of labour and parts under warranty claims within thirty days of purchase. The owner must send the evidences of the defective or originally damaged parts by means of an email with photos and/or videos to info@qikbike.com

. After the initial 30 days, Q.ik ebike will provide two years of free replacement parts for defective items.

. Q.ik ebike reserves the right to request photos, videos, accurate descriptions or any other document, to be supplied as the evidence of the problem.

. Q.ik ebike X series ebikes have been developed and designed for commuting/leisure usage and/or simple riding in fair weather, at safe speeds and relevant travel in an urban or suburban environment. Warranty rights are valid under this use condition.

 

3. Battery

. The loss of battery capacity due to its use or overtime is not considered a manufacturing defect but a normal consequence of ion lithium battery properties. 

4. Claims for the following will not be valid:

. Consumable parts which life can widely vary due to usage intensity. Batteries, brake cables/hoses, brake fluid, pedals, belt and drive components and handlebar grips, tyres, inner tubes, brake pads. Warranty will only cover damages or failures caused by a defect in materials or workmanship.

. Cosmetic and finishing damages, including but not limited to scratches and dents.

. Damage caused by external causes, accident, abuse, malpractice, force majeure or natural disaster.

. Damage or malfunction caused by product modifications to alter functionality or performance.

. Defects caused by normal wear and tear including corrosion, rust, hairline cracks in paint, chips in paint, water damage, the results of fatigue. Fatigue damage is a symptom of the frame or component being worn through normal use. It is the owner’s responsibility to regularly inspect the ebike.

. No warranty right will be applied if the frame serial number has been removed.
